Derek's has worked closely with County Councils in Ireland over several years to capture and document the people and places of Ireland. The commission to illustrate the 2005 Fingal Heritage Plan involved shooting over fifty locations in four weeks to document the rich architectural, natural, archaeological and cultural heritage of County Fingal.
